Intro to Yoga Course
The Intro to Yoga Course aims to introduce you to the underlying principles of yoga and to lead you through the basic postures. You will learn to become familiar with using your breath in both posture work and meditation. You will also learn a little about various “styles” of yoga so that you can decide which way to go forward in your practice. On joining the course you will be given a £10 off voucher to go towards your next course or "class pass" at BCY.
Classes are taught by a number of our teachers to introduce you to Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Restorative Yoga and meditation. On completion of the Intro to Yoga Course you will have a much clearer idea of which form(s) of yoga suit you and what to expect from classes. There are many beginners (L1-2) classes and courses on our timetable for you to continue your yoga journey.
Students may sign up at any time for 8 consecutive weeks as classes are rolling and cover what you need to know within an 8 week period.
